Our
Unique Vocabulary List
It is very important to have a strong vocabulary when dealing with verbal questions, since a large percentage of the questions on the test are vocabulary knowledge questions.
Each vocabulary word in this list is printed in boldface letters, and following each word are synonyms and/or definitional phrases. The synonyms precede the definitional phrases when both are given.
Antonyms are also listed for many of the vocabulary words. When provided, antonyms will be indented and printed in boldface directly below the vocabulary word, as in the following example:
Cacophonous. Sounding harsh or discordant. |
Mellifluous. Sweetly flowing; sweetsounding; honeyed. |
Mellifluous , in the example given, is the antonym for Cacophonous . Each of the two words is followed by its synonyms.
This vocabulary list was written with the specific
intention of improving your vocabulary for answering verbal questions.
